Latest News from the TRNC

On January 2nd 2008, the new Estate Agents Law was passed making it now illegal for any property sale or purchase to take place in Northern Cyprus  without the services of a fully Government registered TRNC Estate Agent. This new law is designed to safeguard the client and to ensure accountability and transparency within the North Cyprus property market. Donaghy and Beyler applaud this initiate by the TRNC Government and the TRNC Estate Agents Union. Having been registered on November 16th 2007, Donaghy and Beyler became the first non Turkish Cypriot Estate Agents to be fully licensed in Northern Cyprus.

Purchasing a property in Northern Cyprus, or anywhere abroad, can be a daunting task. However, with the added security of dealing with a fully registered Estate Agent, accountable to the TRNC Government and the TRNC Estate Agents Union, Donaghy and Beyler Estate Agents must be your first and only choice for security and peace of mind.

The new TRNC Property law provides further safeguards for customers by making Northern Cyprus Estate Agents accountable for the information that they use in marketing and advertising. Estate Agents will by law be held responsible if it is found that a customer has been given false information. When a vendor brings in a new property to sell, it will be the responsibility of the Estate Agent to ensure that all of the information is correct and the onus is on the Estate Agent to ensure this.
